Belle Isle is situated in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, and comprises eight islands at the northern end of Upper Lough Erne, and has the shooting on the estate and much of the surrounding area, providing plenty of scope for shooting parties. Fermanagh is renowned for its snipe and woodcock shooting, and the countryside on the islands and shores of Lough Erne and the surrounding birch woods and bogs provide an ideal habitat for these most sporting birds. A particular feature of Belle Isle is the opportunity to include one or two drives with guns positioned in boats along the shore line. Shoots are arranged over a weekend with one or two day's shooting for up to 8 guns and accommodation in the Hamilton Wing of the Belle Isle Mansion House. The Mansion House, which overlooks the lough, dates from the early 17th century, and has been refurbished to create luxury accommodation for up to 14 people, either on a self-catering basis or fully staffed and catered for larger parties. Additional accommodation is available in a renovated coach house and adjoining courtyard nearby. A chauffeur service can be provided to collect shooting parties from the airport at Belfast, approximately 1½ hours drive away. It is also possible to arrange a further day's shooting at Barons Court, either a walked-up snipe/woodcock day or a formal driven pheasant day.
