A spacious entrance porch, plus laundry and drying room, provide all the space you will need for boots, wet clothes, fishing and sporting equipment. (There is also a gun cabinet). The living area is open plan with a wood burning stove and doors opening on to a pretty enclosed garden with the river, waterfall and the hills beyond. Sport and other activities Stalking is available in season with up to 6 stags per week. Red and sika deer stalking is available, together with some walked up grouse. The estate also provides wonderful bird watching opportunities with eagles and blackcock regularly seen. Stalking, fishing, walking, bird watching, swimming (for the bold only) or just relaxing by the fire should keep most people happy; but the coast and Dornoch, famous for its golf courses, are nearby and there is plenty of scope for day trips. Salmon and Sea Trout fishing is available fly only for two rods. The productive period on the river runs from late June to the end of September |
