The spectacularly beautiful Delphi Estate lies in one of Ireland's most unspoilt valleys on the north edge of Connemara. At the centre of the estate, overlooking a pretty lake and surrounded by the region's highest mountains, stands Delphi Lodge, one of Ireland's most famous sporting lodges. This 12 bedroom country house combines luxury and superb food with a most relaxed and informal atmosphere.

The Delphi Fishery offers excellent fly fishing for spring salmon and grilse from February to September on a variety of lakes and a gorgeously pretty semi-spatey river. This popular little fishery has seen record catches in recent years due to a Ranga-style smolt release programme. The ten year annual catches now average over 500 salmon.

The under rated spring fishing from February to May is more easily reserved than the popular grilse fishing in June & July. Fishing is best after rain (Delphi gets over 100 inches of rain a year) and the river is almost never unfishably high.

Delphi also offers self-catering accommodation in five cottages. Outside the fishing season, Delphi is a popular venue for private house parties and occasional woodcock shooting groups.

Though wild and remote, Delphi is easily accessed, being only 80 minutes from Galway and Knock airports and less than 3 hours from Shannon. Dublin is a four hour drive, while Cork and Belfast are five hours away.

Fishing packages include all accommodation and meals, and six full days fishing. The only extras are wines, drinks and ghillies - ghillies cost 100 euros per day and are normally shared by 2 rods.
