The Rock House is a lovely lodge built in 1830 and surrounded by its own mature garden with a number of exotic trees. The lodge has recently been redecorated to provide comfortable accommodation for up to 10 in 5 bedrooms, 3 with ensuite bathrooms.
The Owenduff River is one of the classic Irish west coast spate rivers, and the estate has the fishing on about four miles of the upper river. The Owenduff is fly only, whereas fly fishing and spinning are allowed on the Bellaveeny. The Bellaveeny River is well known for its sea trout, and the estate has the fishing on the whole river. Good wild brown trout fishing is also available on a number of loughs on the estate. Snipe and woodcock shooting packages are available November to January. |
