
Whether it be 50 or 400+ birds, we are able to offer a wide range of partridge and pheasant shooting for teams of 2-10 guns from September to February in both Scotland and Ireland.
Aberarder
Aberarder lies in Upper Strathnairn with topography ideally suited to showing excellent sporting pheasants. With a new low ground keeper in place, Aberarder is developing a challenging pheasant shoot in stunning scenery. Ideally placed for shooting parties in the Inverness area
Aswanley
Aswanley is in the upper Deveron Valley, an hour west of Aberdeen. The estate has established a reputation for excellent sporting partridges during September and October and can offer mixed sporting weeks to include driven and walked up days. Driven pheasant shooting is also available from October till February. The use of topography and careful planning delivers exceptional birds over a variety of drives, producing some outstanding shooting.
Ballindalloch
Ballindalloch Castle is the family home of the Macpherson-Grant's, and lies midway up the Spey Valley at the junction with the River Avon. The Spey and Avon Valleys provide the ideal topography for high and exciting birds, and the drives are designed to make best use of the ground. Between 25 and 30 days of mixed driven pheasants and partridges are offered each year, with usual days of 200+ early season, and 100-200 bird days in January. Lunch is usually arranged in the Castle. Shooting parties may be accommodated in the Castle by special arrangement.
Ballywalter Park
Since 1997 the shoot has been run on a traditional Pheasant shoot, with two spectacular duck drives added in 2004. A number of varied days of 250 to 400 birds will be on offer next season with accommodation in wonderful Ballywalter Park.
Bandirran
Nestling in the Sidlaw Hills between Perth and Dundee, the 5000 acre Bandirran Estate has exceptional partridge and pheasant shooting. Using the steep valleys and hillsides, many stunning drives have been developed. Driven days from 100-400 birds are offered as well as walked up days. Lunch is provided in front of a roaring fire in the estate’s converted Mill.”
Baronscourt
In addition to their well known Pheasant shoot, with a reputation for quality birds, Baronscourt attracts high numbers of woodcock, and we are able to offer a limited amount of exclusive driven woodcock shooting for parties of 8 guns, two days back to back, in November, December and January.
Dell
Dell is a superb 7,000 acre mixed sporting estate in Stratherrick, 30 minutes from Inverness on the south shore of Loch Ness. It offers excellent partridge and pheasant shooting and evening duck flighting. Expected bags of up to 300+ birds can be taken with accommodation in Dell House which comfortably accommodates 14 guests.
Dorback
Recently established on Speyside to complement their exceptional driven grouse shooting, Dorback's low ground shoot offer testing pheasants and partridges, with daily bags of 150-200 birds, ideally to a line of 6 guns. Luxury accommodation is available in Drum Lodge on the estate.
Dryhope & Kirkstead
Within easy reach of Edinburgh (1 hour) and Carlisle (1 ½ hours) with motorway access 35 mins away. Set in the most scenic parts of the Scottish borders on the side of St Mary Loch, the topography varies between soft and gentle rolling hills to quite dramatic high escarpment, which are ideal for showing high and challenging birds. The shooting isn't for the inexperienced, testing even the most experienced and capable high bird shots. The shoot is organised to be a predominantly partridge shoot commencing on 1st September, some pheasants later into the season, with most of the shooting completed by Christmas.
In the New Year, the shoot is able to offer smaller days of 50-75 head, and a limited walked up programme. For the early season shooting, with days of up to 300+, we recommend double guns and loaders.
Dunan
On the edge of Rannoch Moor in Perthshire, this Highland shoot offers enjoyable sporting days of 50-100 birds. Partridges in September, a mix of pheasants and partridges in October to Christmas, and then mainly pheasants until the end of the season. Estate lodge and cottage accommodation available.
Glendelvine Estate, Perthshire
Glendelvine lies along the banks of the Tay in the Dunkeld district of Perthshire. It was on the Glendelvine water that Miss Ballantine caught her record breaking 64lb salmon in 1922. The estate has wonderful topography for pheasant shooting and provides high and challenging birds in beautiful surroundings over two days. The emphasis is on quality with bags of 100-150 birds to suit. Lunches are a cosy affair in a wood lined bothy with an aga and open fire. Accommodation for up to 14 is available in the heart of the estate with a cook and housekeeper if required.
Glenogil & Auchnacree Estates Situated on the eastern edge of the Grampians, Glenogil is a renowned all-round sporting estate with an enviable reputation for the quality of it's partridge and pheasant shooting on the low ground.
Partridge days are usually 200-300 birds, with early season pheasant days of 250-300, January days 150-200.
The shoot is exceptionally well run with very comfortable lunch facilities, and provides top quality and challenging shooting. The Beeches drive will rival anything in the country.
Glenquaich Estate
The headkeeper Stan Riches, has continued to build a top quality driven pheasant shoot. Combining the excellent topography with the plantations on the estate, we are able to offer a limited number of 100 to 150 bird pheasant days for full teams of up to 8 guns, with the emphasis on quality rather than quantity. Glenquaich is able to offer excellent rough shooting during the winter months which can include pheasant, partridge, snipe and woodcock.
Islay Estate
Over 50,000 acres of farmland, woods, moors, lochs and hills, never far from the sea, the Islay Estates provide a wonderful mix of island shooting. From ducks and geese to driven days for woodcock and snipe. Hotel or estate self catered accommodation is available.
Kinnaird – South Esk
The in-hand shoot covers 2500 acres though most of the shooting will take place within the walled park. There is minimal travelling between drives and transport for all 8 guns will be provided. We can offer 150-300 bird days November and December and max 200 bird days in January, subject to availability.
Kinpurnie
Kinpurnie Estate straddles the picturesque Sidlaw Hills in the County of Angus, the Eastern gateway to the Scottish Highlands. It lies in beautiful unspoiled countryside commanding spectacular views over the Tay estuary to the South and the Grampian mountains to the North. The Estate comprises 7,000 acres – with a wonderful mix of arable, grazing and heather hill with a choice of 28 regular drives.
Newlands Shootings
The adjoining Estates of Blackwood, Dalswinton, Duncow and Newlands situated in the beautiful Nith Valley in Dumfries-shire are now under the management of Andrew Duncan and his experienced team of Keepers. Providing quality driven pheasant shooting, fine rough shooting and duck flighting. An exciting new addition is the introduction of Partridges to provide some very exciting days early in the season. For 2011 there will be an opportunity to shoot between 75 and 100 brace back to back days from September, based at Newlands.
Andrew and Eileen Duncan have been having paying guests to stay and shoot with them at Newlands for over twenty five years.
Novar
A traditional, mixed highland estate extending to 20,000 acres between the River Glass and the River Alness, only half an hour from Inverness. The estate offers a high quality driven partridge shoot, driven pheasant shooting, rough shooting, duck flighting, walked up grouse and grouse shooting over pointers are available to guests at Ardtalla, a newly refurbished lodge sleeping up to 18.
Pearsie Estate Situated a few miles north of Kirriemuir in the heart of the Angus Glens, the Pearsie Estate has a long history of providing first class field sports facilities for the gun enthusiast. Driven and quality shooting is available from our 20+ drives and driven grouse, pheasant and duck shooting are also on offer, along with evening duck-flighting on selected ponds.

Phoines is one of the most well-established moorland partridge shoots in Scotland. Set over 2,500 acres of moor, woodland and rivers and with over 20 different drives the estate provides a varied and challenging day. Whether a team takes a partridge or pheasant day guests are guaranteed an excellent day.
Raehills Estate
Raehills Estate, a well managed shoot with an enviable reputation in Dumfriess-shire, offering everything from mini driven days of 70-100 birds with wildfowling to formal driven pheasant days of 200-400 + birds. There is also the opportunity for accommodation as guests of Lord & Lady Johnstone at Raehills.
Ralia Estate
Ralia Estate offers partridge/pheasant shooting from September through to January in the magnificent surroundings of the Cairngorms National Park. Ralia offers a spectacular array of drives and can provide bags to fit all requirements. Shoot days are hosted by the owner who likes to run the shoot on an informal and friendly basis with lunch provided in the lodge. This incredibly comfortable and atmospheric lodge can provide accommodation for up to 16 guests on a fully catered basis.
Rossie Ochil
Rossie Ochil is situated in the Ochil Hills, 20 mins south of Perth and only 10 mins from the M90 or A9, extending over 2000 acres of countryside with spectacular views. The exceptional topography provides a good mix of drives from traditional wood drives to open hill shooting incorporating game crops. Our dedicated Shooting Lodge has excellent facilities which complement the shoot and make your Rossie Ochil shooting experience complete. Shooting parties may be accommodated in Rossie Ochil House “by special arrangement."
Berry Hills, Scone Palace
Under new management, John Cruickshanks has built a top quality mixed pheasant and partridge shoot over 3800 acres of excellent topography of mixed woodland and steep banks overlooking the River Tay. The Estate can offer 100-250 bird days for teams of 8-10 guns with lunch included either in their own shoot room or Scone Palace itself. Rough shooting and mini driven days are also available.
Snaigow Estate
The driven pheasant shoot at Snaigow is well established and under the present family ownership has a deserved reputation for offering some spectacular shooting.
The shooting is largely retained by the family, but a limited number of driven days will be available for the 2012/2013 season, offering days of 100-150 birds, with the emphasis on quality rather than quantity.
In addition to the driven shooting, the estate is able to offer smaller walked up rough shooting days from October, for up to 6 guns, which has proved very popular with smaller parties.
Stair Estate, Stranraer
Stair Estates comprises of 44,000 acres of farmland, woodland and sporting ground in South West Scotland. Situated in Galloway next to the West coast, the estate offers a variety of wild wintering birds which should test all abilities. The shoot is run in a traditional way and takes place around Lochinch Castle, which holds the historical record for the greatest mix bag.
Wild wintering birds include geese, ducks, woodcock and snipe. The mix of established woodland and the marginal rough ground and marsh land, combined with some steep ground and gullies and stunning sea views provide a wonderful mix of drives. Days between 150 and 200+ birds are available for teams of up to 8 or 9 guns. The estate also provides challenging and exciting mini driven days. Accommodation can be provided at Lochinch Castle or elsewhere locally.
Teasses Estate
Teasses is a lowland sporting and agricultural estate situated in north-east Fife, one hour from Edinburgh and twenty minutes from St Andrews. It extends to approximately 1,000 acres, comprising mixed woodland, parkland, and moss and is keepered by Kenneth Horne. Main days of 150-250 birds can be expected; the drives offering a variety of sport to the most testing standards. Teasses also offer mini driven days with a mixed bag of around 40 head comprising pheasant, duck, partridge and snipe.
Tulchan
Tulchan Estate lies on the River Spey downstream of Grantown-on-Spey. The glens adjoining the Spey Valley provide the ideal terrain for presenting high and testing pheasants in beautiful surroundings. Tulchan can offer 4 separate beats of 150-300+ birds with drives such as Flagpole, Culdorachmore and Knocktulchan some of the best in the country.
